This stylish Overo mare came about through the generosity of Bradley Flats Pastoral Company who had donated a service to their imported Tobero stallion, Dry Diamond to the PHAA youth stallion service auction which was held at the  PHAA National show to raise funds for the youth team to travel to the APHA World show.

The service was purchased by Twin Oaks Paint Horses who used the service to breed their Sabino mare, Pep N Oak (Docs Freckles Oak* x PepTalk –Peppys Doc Bar* x Buc Lena* mare)

The resulting outstanding Overo filly was sold to Jim and Becky Farquhar of Katrina Station, Rolleston when the filly was six months old.

Leading up to the June 2006 NCHA Open Cutting futurity, Diamond Tina had to be spelled for a while with an injury but she still managed to place 31^ST out of 117 horses entered in the futurity with Paul Palmowski aboard. Paul was 21 at the time and this was his first showing in the Open Futurity where he won the Limited rider.

In October 2006 with Jason Leitch on board the mare won the NCHA affiliated Comet Open Cutting Futurity including both go rounds. Tina has also placed highly with Jason (2^nd and 3^rd) in Novice horse completions against much older horses. She was also top scorer for Jason in the first go round of the 2006 Goondiwindi Futurity with scores of 73’s.

On the 1^st of March 2007, Twin Oaks Diamond Tina was awarded a NCHA Certificate of Ability.

At the June 2007 NCHA futurity show she placed 6^th in the Non-Pro Derby with Jim Farquhar who was a first time rider at NCHA futurity show level and this was the 8^th NCHA cutting show that he had ever competed in.

This mares results represents what we believe is the first true Overo Paint horse to win a NCHA endorsed Cutting futurity in Australia. Tina has matured at 15.1 HH with a look at me presence and a gorgeous nature. The Farquhar family find her a pleasure to have around.

This outstanding Overo mare was the first born foal out of Queen of Oaks, Docs Freckles Oak* x Tequila Doll (Peppys Doc Bar* x Hollywood Return* mare).

As a yearling Cleo was operated on by a orthopedic surgeon to remove a small bone chip which was floating in and out of her OS shoulder joint and causing intermittent lameness. Because of this she was broken in late by Candice Stevens when Cleo was two and a half year old.

In August 2003 when Cleo turned three years old, she was leased to Natasha Backhouse who trained her in reining. In the following January Cleo and Natasha competed against professional trainers in their first show at Gatton, QLD in a Junior Horse Reining class which they won.

In February 2004, Cleo and Natasha won the VRHA Non-Pro Reining Futurity as well as the Snaffle Bit Futurity. From there the pair went on to win the Non-Pro and Snaffle bit futurities at the NSWRHA and QRHA State futurity shows which was the first time that all three State Non-Pro Futurities have been won by the  same horse / rider combination and made particularly worthy of mention as Natasha was only 16 years old. Cleo is the sort of horse who develops strong bonds with her rider.

After the NSWRHA show, Cleo had to have time off due to an abscess in her front foot.

At the NRHA National futurity show which was held in July 2004, the pair came third in the Non-Pro futurity and won the Youth National Championship title.

Following the 2004 NRHA show, Natasha competed at the QLD Paint Horse State championship show in July to take out the Youth and Junior horse reining State Championship titles.

Since then Sheridan Stevens has ridden Cleo to PHAA National and State Championship titles in Reining. Now a days Vicki Stevens has been attending clinics and lessons with Cleo and getting her confidence up ready to compete in Beginner classes.

Cleo has a NRHA Bronze award, a PHAA Rom in Reining plus a multitude of National and State titles to her credit.

Twin Oaks Cleopatra has matured into a very correct, 15.2 HH stunning mare with an impeccable nature like her sire, Peppy Shaker. Cleo represents the best of the Twin Oaks Paint Horses breeding programme.
